Human being must eat to live, we know. A normal person has to eat 3 times during the day. First of all, has to have a good breakfast, and then lunch, and after that a dinner. If a normal person doesn’ t eat for couple of hours, the sensation of hunger typically begins.

Hunger is a feeling experienced when one has a desire to eat(go). Yes, it seems just feeling, but some people feels it for weeks, for months. About 25,000 people die everyday because of hunger or hunger-related causes, according to the United Nations(go). More than 500 million people are living in “absolute poverty” and more than 15 million children die of hunger every year. World Health Organization estimates that one-third of the world population is underfed and another third is starving(go). There were 923 million hungry people in the world in 2007, an increase of 80 million since 1990.

The world produces enough food for us

Some theories show us that the world already produces enough food to feed everyone, even twice the world population. The problem is not about food, it’ s about poverty. Hungry people of the world has not enough money to buy food.

Yes, we can find too many reasons which cause hunger. It can be political reasons, economical reasons, etc. As a result there is hunger in our world. It’s real! We have to do something against hunger and poverty.

Campaign about Hunger and Hope

Blog catalog members and an organization named Heifer International partnered to call for the end of world hunger and start of hope on April 29. We, as bloggers accepted to write something about hunger. You can also do something to end of world hunger. For example, you can write a blog post, or add a badge to your site, or make some donation to end world hunger.
